Two tourists just down from Machu Picchu in Peru finish their trek in a Cevicheria to partake of this typical Peruvian appetizer.
The inspiration the diners derive from their meal causes unexpected shifts in their relationship.
The annual "Rabbit's Palate Salad Contest" pits Chef Lola's creation against the hot Brazilians who use exotic ingredients. But Lola's secret weapon may lie in her romantic past. Who can predict the outcome?
What if your morning coffee fix doesn't happen because there's a power outage? And to make matters worse, without coffee, you have to deal with next door neighbors who drive you crazy? This tale delves into the relationship between coffee and societal quagmires and arrives at some startling conclusions.
Dessert is certainly a delicious final act in the drama of dinner. One often doesn't leave room for it, but somehow the lure of the sweetness gets the appetite juices flowing again in a different key. The secretary of a noted art department can't get enough of the sweet
sweetness milk chocolate affords. She nibbles on bon bons throughout the day to the chagrin of the head of the department who relies on her for just about everything. What remedy except a romantic one can undo her addiction?

John has been in love with theater since he joined the boy scouts and began writing plays for “Skit Night”. Later in life, his play, The Hunter Gracchus, was produced for BBC Radio and directed by Martin Esslin, internationally renowned theater critic and author of The Theater of the Absurd. When Mr. Esslin became the dramaturg of the Magic Theater of San Francisco, he produced John’s psychological thriller, Wolves. It was the first play in the Magic Theatre’s Fort mason venue. Wolves was also produced at the Seven Stages Theater in Atlanta, Georgia, and at the Utah Repertory in Salt Lake City. John has been a member of “The Monday Night Group”, a consortium of writers and actors, for the past five years. John teaches English as a Second Language at the Mission Campus of City College of San Francisco. He is overjoyed to be working with The People’s Theatre, and seeing his pieces realized in this wonderful, intimate setting.
